India Kawasaki Motors has listed the 2027 Versys 1100 at ₹13,89,000 ex-showroom. The new model keeps the upright road touring layout of the Versys family and builds its main update around a 1,099cc inline four engine producing 135 PS.
The extra capacity gives the motorcycle more power than the earlier 1,043cc and 120 PS specification. Kawasaki combines that increase with cruise control, a 21 litre fuel tank, a USB-C outlet and an electronics package supported by an inertial measurement unit.

The larger engine is designed for road speed with less effort
A large inline four suits the Versys because the motorcycle spends much of its life carrying speed across long roads. The 1,099cc engine should give the rider more flexibility when overtaking, climbing with luggage or settling into a sustained highway pace. The value of the extra output will be measured through smoothness and usable midrange as much as the headline peak.
Kawasaki quotes 135 PS for the new version. The engine remains part of a motorcycle designed for tarmac, with 17 inch wheels at both ends. Long travel suspension and an upright position give it the comfort and view associated with an adventure tourer, while the wheel sizes keep the road focus clear.

Twenty one litres and cruise control explain the brief
The 21 litre tank gives the Versys a useful foundation for long journeys. Actual distance between stops will depend on pace, load and conditions, yet the capacity reduces the pressure to plan every section around a fuel pump. Cruise control supports the same purpose on long, steady stretches.
The left switchgear places the cruise controls close to the rider’s thumb. A USB-C outlet addresses navigation and communication devices during travel. These are small details on a specification sheet, though they can decide how relaxed the motorcycle feels after several hours.

The electronics work around the rider’s choices
An inertial measurement unit gives the motorcycle a clearer picture of its movement. Kawasaki uses that information across its rider assistance systems, allowing braking and traction functions to respond with lean and acceleration in mind. The rider still chooses the pace and line, while the systems add a measured safety layer when grip changes.
A touring motorcycle needs this technology to remain easy to understand. Controls should be accessible with gloves, intervention should feel predictable and the display should give the rider the information that matters without becoming a distraction. The official specification places those priorities beside the power increase.
The shape is familiar because the purpose has stayed clear
The tall screen, broad upper fairing, stepped seat and substantial rear section give the Versys its established silhouette. The design makes room for wind protection, a passenger and luggage. It also gives the rider a commanding position in traffic and on open roads.
The 17 inch wheels and road tyres set a sensible boundary. This is a motorcycle for riders who value the posture and suspension travel of an adventure machine while spending most of their distance on asphalt. Its touring identity comes from comfort, range and engine character.

The price places the Versys in a focused touring choice
At ₹13.89 lakh, the Versys 1100 asks a buyer to value a large four cylinder engine, long distance equipment and an established platform. The launch adds a current option for riders who want performance without the low posture of a sports motorcycle or the stronger off-road compromises of a large adventure bike.
The 2027 update does its work through a larger engine and practical touring equipment. It preserves the idea that has kept the Versys distinctive: a road motorcycle with space, visibility and enough range to let the next stop feel like a choice.
