A festive-season motorcycle launch can become a long list of names and prices. TVS Motor Company’s September update is easier to understand as a map of small decisions: traction control on one Apache, a connected display on another, adjustable front suspension higher up the range, and new equipment spread across the Ronin.

Announced on 17 September 2026, the refresh touches the Apache RTR 160, RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V, alongside the Apache RTR 310 and RR 310. TVS has also added a Ronin Base+ variant and revised the Mid and Top versions. The updated motorcycles were made available through dealerships across India from the day of the announcement. Prices below are ex-showroom Delhi.

The RTR 160 range gains different kinds of confidence

The Apache RTR 160 receives traction control, hazard lamps and LED tail lamps. Its new top variant combines dual-channel ABS with traction control and starts at ₹1,27,990. The update gives the entry point in this release a useful safety emphasis: braking support, a rider aid intended to manage rear-wheel slip, and stronger visibility when a stop becomes urgent.

The RTR 160 4V takes a more connected route. Its top variant adds a TFT display with Google Maps mirroring, Panic Brake Alert and a Type-C charger, at ₹1,41,440. The RTR 200 4V builds on that technology package and adds adjustable front USD suspension. Its listed starting price is ₹1,49,990. The equipment spread is clear: the 160 4V prioritises cockpit information and everyday charging, while the 200 4V adds a front-end adjustment that riders can set around their needs.

These features answer different questions at the handlebar. A route display keeps directions within the rider’s sightline. A Type-C port provides a charging point for a phone used for navigation. Panic Brake Alert adds a visible signal during hard braking. Adjustable suspension gives the RTR 200 4V another useful setting to explore. None needs a grand explanation. Each is easy to notice on the first ride and judge over the weeks that follow.

The 310s take a darker visual direction

TVS has introduced Black Diamond Edition liveries for the Apache RR 310 and RTR 310. The listed versions are the top variants with quickshifters. The RR 310 starts at ₹2,87,790 and the RTR 310 at ₹2,48,990. The release frames the change around the new all-black finish and the technology already attached to each motorcycle’s upper specification.

This part of the range has a different job from the 160 and 200. A sharper visual treatment gives owners a more individual finish, while the quickshifter keeps the 310 models connected to the brand’s performance identity. TVS has used a single update window to speak to buyers looking for equipment, colour or both.

The Apache 310 models sit at the premium end of this announcement, so the Black Diamond treatment works as a visual signature for the top versions. The inclusion of the quickshifter in the specified variants links the new finish to the equipment level. It gives a returning buyer a clear cue in a showroom and creates a more concentrated look across two different motorcycles in the same family.

Ronin grows at the accessible end and deepens higher up

The new Ronin Base+ starts at ₹1,42,490 and brings dual-channel ABS with a fresh livery in Sunlit Yellow or Desert Mirage. The Mid version adds a connected cluster and Type-C charger, starts at ₹1,51,540 and is offered in Glacier Silver or Charcoal Ember. The Top version adds traction control, a Type-C charger and a premium seat, with Nimbus Grey and Midnight Blue colour choices at ₹1,63,640.

The three-step story is easy to read. Base+ adds the new lower rung with a stronger braking specification. Mid looks towards connected convenience. Top adds traction control and a more finished seat. The Ronin already occupies a distinctive place in the TVS line-up, with a relaxed stance and its own design language. The update gives buyers more ways to decide how much equipment they want attached to that character.

The gap between Base+ and Top is ₹21,150 before registration, insurance and other local costs. For a rider considering the range, that makes the question less abstract. The Base+ brings dual-channel ABS and the new colours. Mid adds a connected cluster and charging. Top brings traction control and the premium seat. The feature ladder is plainly set out, so buyers can decide whether the extra equipment matches their regular use.

A broad refresh with practical entry points

The most useful part of the announcement is its spread. Buyers can find a visible addition in the entry RTR 160, useful cockpit technology in the middle of the Apache line, a suspension adjustment on the 200, a new livery for the 310s and a clearer equipment ladder for the Ronin. TVS has also tied the update to a milestone of more than seven million Apache riders worldwide, a scale that makes small refinements meaningful across a very broad owner base.

That seven-million milestone gives the launch its wider setting. Apache now describes a broad family that includes everyday street motorcycles and premium 310 models. A feature added at one point in the range will mean something different from the same update elsewhere. Hazard lamps and LED tail lamps are straightforward everyday equipment. A TFT, Map mirroring, a quickshifter or adjustable USD fork asks a buyer to consider a different sort of ride.

There is no single winner in a range this wide. The best value depends on where the rider will use the bike and which feature will matter every week. A charger or map display can make a commute easier. Adjustable suspension gives an owner another way to set the front end. ABS and traction control speak to a different kind of confidence. The festive refresh lets the buyer choose that answer more directly.
