The Ultraviolette X47 Venom arrives with a number that changes the scale of the electric motorcycle conversation. Its claimed IDC range reaches 343 kilometres, the motor is rated at 30 kW and the introductory price begins at ₹2.65 lakh. The X47 brings those figures into an upright, adventure styled package that is meant to make distance part of the electric story.

Range changes the shape of a riding day
A long range claim matters because it lets a rider imagine a day beyond a familiar commute. The X47 Venom’s 343 kilometre figure is measured on the Indian Driving Cycle, and real world range will change with speed, load, temperature and riding style. That caveat does not diminish the ambition. It gives the motorcycle a headline figure that can be compared with the kind of journeys riders want to make.
Ultraviolette pairs the battery with support for 12 kW DC fast charging and a 1.6 kW onboard charger. The company says that makes the X47 the only Indian electric two wheeler with 12 kW DC charging capability. A faster charge can change how much time a rider spends between legs of a route. The size of the network and its location will decide how often that advantage can be used.

A motorcycle built around power and posture
The X47’s 30 kW motor gives it a different kind of output story from a petrol adventure motorcycle. There is no gearbox in the traditional sense, and the rider feels the response through the throttle rather than a series of engine speeds. Its claimed top speed is 155 km/h. The upright stance and bodywork make the bike look ready for open roads and rougher edges, though its actual ability on a surface will always depend on tyres, suspension and rider judgement.
The launch price runs from ₹2.65 lakh and rises to ₹4.12 lakh depending on variant, battery choice and charger. That spread means a buyer is choosing more than a colour or trim. Battery size and charging equipment change the way the motorcycle fits into a household routine. The right version will depend on how often the rider covers a long distance and what charging is available at home or on a regular route.

A young category looking beyond the city
Electric motorcycles in India have spent much of their public life being compared with scooters and city commuters. The X47 Venom is trying to open a different frame. It gives the rider a taller silhouette, a stated fast charging capability and a range figure that invites questions about touring. That is an interesting direction for the category, even before the first owner has taken the bike through a full month of use.
The larger battery versions and charging options also make the buying decision more personal. A rider who returns home to a dependable socket may value a different configuration from someone planning regular intercity travel. Public fast charging can make a long ride more plausible, though a map of compatible stations is as important as the headline charging rate. The X47’s proposition asks manufacturers, charging providers and riders to build that wider support together.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in November. The first owners will test what the launch figures cannot settle on their own: range at touring speed, charging access between towns and comfort across a full day. The X47 has arrived with numbers large enough to start that conversation. The road will decide how naturally they become part of an ordinary ride.
The electric tourer also brings a quieter kind of planning. A rider has to think about the next charging stop with the same care once given to a fuel station, then make room in the day for the battery to take on energy. Fast charging can shorten that pause. Route coverage and charger reliability decide whether a rider trusts it. The X47 puts that question in front of a wider audience by giving the electric motorcycle a more ambitious shape and a longer stated range.
